“Kenyans in the Diaspora are in a position to share in the Economic Boom emerging in Kenya. By Connecting with Diaspora, Tapping Diaspora Potential and Involving Diaspora, my goal is to see Kenyans in Diaspora create new wealth for themselves as we develop Kenya 47 Counties,” says Peter Kenneth. Kenyans all over the world have started encouraging Peter Kenneth to run for the President. One factor that has endeared him to many is his understanding that once the constitution was passed by all Kenyans it became the law that binds the country and that all should pay taxes and he immediately obeyed the constitution law. The tour is made possible by David Karangu, a renowned businessman in Atlanta, who encourages Kenyans in Diaspora to get to know the leaders by attending their meetings when they visit abroad.

On his visit Peter Kenneth has outlined seven proposed development roles that Kenyans in the Diaspora can consider which include:

  1. Influence National & County Governments plans & policies to cater for Diaspora Investments.
  2. Run for elected office to serve in the Senate, National Assembly, Governor, County Assembly or others.
  3. Provide expertise in important areas of Development - Vision 2030
  4.  Contribute to the growth of private sector through private projects and businesses.
  5.  Invest financial resources in secure financial instruments offered through credible institutions.
  6.  Become Ambassadors for and on behalf of our country - Brand Kenya.
  7.  Partner in Private Public Partnerships projects.

He toured through the cities Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; Baltimore, MD; Newark, DE, Newark, NJ/NY, Worcester and Lowell cities in MA, Boston region, Chicago, IL and finally to Minneapolis, MN.

Many in the Diaspora community see him as the first leader to seriously think about the Diaspora and to initiate proposals that many can consider. Some believe that if the Diaspora considers his proposals serious many in the Diaspora could create for themselves wealth in Kenya and Kenya could grow by over 10% per annum as envisioned in Vision 2030.

Professor Raphael Njoroge who will be hosting Peter Kenneth at WPI for a meeting with other scholars to see how a new Kenya University can be created with a goal to give 5,000 students new opportunities, help Diaspora Kenyans invest in Kenya and is aimed toward creating about 5000 new jobs for Kenyans says, “Kenya today at an annual GDP of about $65 billion was left behind by South Korea whose GDP is about $1.5 trillion. Unless more time is geared toward development ideas and the political leaders have the brainpower to understand and lead toward fast development then the $1.435 trillion gap between Kenya and South Korea will be a story told every election cycle.” The professor further debates and says, “Kenya will remain to be a Country bestowed with so many resources: Land, Rivers, Good Weather, Healthy People, Natural animals and many other resources. Yet, economically Kenya continues to be unable to sustain its population with the first basic need of food.”
