Networking and Photos. The Road to Business Success
Apart from going to listen to great speakers one of the great things of the conference is to network and get photo opportunities with the leaders and have fun. Sam of Airtime and Money transfer business in Boston region, whose business is located in Lowell and Irene whose business is based in Delaware had an opportunity to share a moment and a photo with His Excellency Elkanah Odembo, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the U.S.A.
The Kenya Diaspora Conference organized by the Ambassador’s office in Washington D.C was a successful event. Apart from giving a platform to discuss all topics relating to economic development of Kenya, it also provided more than 500 conference attendees an opportunity to network. Attendees came in from almost half of the 50 states of the U.S and from all the major cities where Kenyans have settled.
To business people like Sam and Irene this was also a great chance to interact and get to know leaders like the Ambassador and get a picture with him. David Karangu, one of the most successfully Kenyan business people with Kenya roots said in his presentation, “Success in business involves networking. One has to network and interact with people. Success comes with talking to people.”
