A Talk with Graduate Alice Taiti on Education
Graduation is the final day to celebrate. As I headed from Baltimore I got invited to a graduation day lunch and had a talk with Alice Taiti who is a Graduate of 2016. It was exciting to hear what the now lady armed with Education that the late president Nelson Mandela is quoted saying to be the most powerful weapon one can use to change the world had to say on Education.
Q. How does it feel to have graduated?
I feel equipped…
Q. What did you graduate with?
I graduated with an MBA in Healthcare Administration.
Q. The late President Nelson Mandela is quoted saying, “Education is the most powerful weapon that one can use to change the world.” Did you feel having achieved the most powerful weapon on graduation day?
It has been a worthwhile long journey for me; graduation day was the climax.
Q. How do you intend to change the world?
I intend to be part of preventing needless deaths and illnesses through education and fostering peace.
Q. What would you tell someone who has not achieved a university education?
To go for it; it is the most valuable gift that one can present to oneself. Education is expensive but it is worthwhile.
Q. What was one of your best moments in college?
Diversity made me realize that there was more to my ethnocentric self.
Q. Are you going to go back for the Doctorate?
Yes, that is a thought I have entertained for a while and I plan on fulfilling it.
