Not only did he want a moment but also the right picture taken and not necessarily just one. After he maneuvered his way to where the V.P was he just took charge with his voice calm and full of authority even though he is most likely about 10 – 12 years old. It was a moment cherished. FULL MOON SAGA ================================================================================ Tony Point on 26/12/2011 18:38:00 Look at the sky at night and witness the exquisite full moon. The celestial body that revolves round the earth from west to east in twenty seven days with reference to the stars or twenty-nine days with reference to the sun. The full moon is visible but one time during a month and in this time the stories that follow the full moon are as numerous and incredible as the moon itself. Charles Koinange Emails of Laughter ================================================================================ Jamhuri Team on 06/11/2011 08:22:00 “You don't stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing,” said Michael Pritchard in reference to how laughter relaxes the body. Jay Reno is quoted as saying, “You cannot be mad at somebody who makes you laugh - it's as simple as that.” Probably in reference to his comedian show. Many have also said it is the drug of choice, the best medicine and the cheapest. Charles of Dallas is out to make sure his friends get this medicine, don't grow old as he continuously supplies it through his Emails to friends. What is Next for the Chiefs? ================================================================================ Noel Omukubi on 23/10/2011 12:05:00 12 days before the polls, the Chiefs salaries were doubled as recorded in this newspaper heading. This time around, the new constitution has wiped this position and many chiefs after the poll may find themselves jobless. The new constitution did not protect the post of the Chief. The Governor and county legislators taking control of the 47 Counties may not need Chiefs to manage their county. The best option is for chiefs to run for elected office. “Do the Chiefs have a chance to win County assembly seats and become legislators?” Many believe they can and if they did this would be a second pay hike with an election. However if one does not run then this were suggestions based on the 8 provinces that we found amusing and entertaining. The Lone Star from Minnesota ================================================================================ Jamhuri Team on 15/10/2011 19:22:00 When Minnesota was called to appear and take a picture with the two Permanent Secretaries at a Washington D.C. Conference, P.S. Mwangi Thuita of Foreign Affairs and P.S Dr. Edward Sambili of Planning National Development and Vision 2030, the gentleman in the center of the picture appeared as the only person from Minnesota attending the conference. As the picture snapped he raised the two- finger salute, leading us to wonder, was he remembering the fights for multi party? Or, was he simply giving the victory salute in reference to a successful conference? Or, was he practising his potential run for office? Maybe he had read the story of the 2 people Churchill told us had caused the Sugar problem in Kenya and wanted to see if he could be as good as Churchill and get his break. My Husband Left Me for Another Woman - Kenya Diaspora Conference Drama Show ================================================================================ Jamhuri Team on 10/10/2011 19:01:00 Kenyans attending the Kenya Diaspora Conference Sunday were entertained through the unplanned presentation by Dr. Mary in what became the drama show titled, “My husband left me for another woman.” The drama started after the five men panelists and moderator finished talking and it was announced there would be no questions taken because of time. Dr. Mary already in line rather than agree to this, spoke into the live microphone. “Women too are successful,” she said in reference to the all men panel, “I have my success story.” She waved her notepad to the air showcasing she had technology power and where her presentation was. The affirmation of “Yes” heard from women in the crowd gave Dr. Mary the go ahead as she removed the live microphone and started her show. Churchill names the 2 People who have created Sugar Problem in Kenya ================================================================================ Jamhuri Team on 03/09/2011 08:31:00 Two people have created the sugar problem in Kenya. “Do I name them or do I not,” asked Churchill as he did his comedy in CCF church that hosted a fundraiser for the Kenyatta Foundation in the City of Lowell. The Foundation had been launched in Worcester a day earlier and the delegation was in Lowell to do an event organized by the CCF church. Churchill, a famous comedian in Kenya, was the headliner of the event. With the price of sugar at around Kshs 200 today and relatives in Kenya complaining about sugar everyone was ready to hear which two people who had messed up the sugar were. Kibaki Highway by Churchill ================================================================================ Jamhuri Team on 03/09/2011 08:11:00 “Kibaki should name Thika Highway, Kibaki Super Highway,” Churchill proposed as he joked and had the crowd in laughter. “The first president, Jomo Kenyatta, named everything after his name: Jomo Kenyatta Airport, Kenyatta Hospital, Kenyatta Road, Kenyatta University and then started on his wife Mama Ngina Street, and then went on to his son Uhuru Highway. His successor Moi after taking over would follow suit: Moi road, Moi university, Moi Airport…” and adding that the high schools are all called Moi this or Moi that high school. “Kibaki should stand on the road and say, ‘Mnajua, Hii bara bara tuite Kibaki Highway na ikae hivo hivo-You known this road we call it Kibaki Highway and it stays that way, way’” President Kibaki Retirement Gifts ================================================================================ Jamhuri Team on 09/08/2011 19:06:00 The discussions on what would be the best gift to President Kibaki upon his retirement 2012 are underway.
