					<content type="html"><![CDATA[For the first time in Boston Marathon, six Kenyans finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd in both Men and Women division races. In a hot day that saw the heat in the Boston region slow many runners, Wesley Korir and Sharon Cherop won the 116th Boston marathon men’s division and women division respectfully and added the total to 29 Kenyan men and women who have won the Boston Marathon. Levy Matebo was second and Bernard Kipyego third to complete the 1,2 &amp; 3 Kenya runner sweep in the men&#039;s division. In the women division Jemima Jelagat Sumgong was second and Georgina Rono third to also have a 1,2 &amp; 3 sweep by Kenya women.  ]]></content>

In an initiative started by Wilson Wahome of Run with Kenyans last year, Kenyans and well wishers in Boston region had an opportunity to welcome the runners in Boston. The runners dined with the Bostonians on the special Ugali and stew cooked to make the dinner Kenyan. And then to one of the popular hits in Kenya well known by the runners it was dance time to relax the legs. ]]></content>

In 5 years of these 21 years the Kenyans have taken a double win of male and female. Boston Marathon is also recorded as the second largest single day covered sporting event in the U.S and the world after the America football Super Bowl. Attending the Kenya Diaspora Conference the runner who attends Howard University in Washington D.C said, “I was happy to attend the conference and get to know other Kenyans. The conference has also helped me make adjustments on my career.” Elly is currently studying Biology and looks forward to entering the field of medicine. “Without a health nation there is no productive nation,“ he noted.
