I held a meeting with members of the Njuri Ncheke Supreme Council of Ameru Elders who paid me a courtesy call at State House, Nairobi. I urge Kenyans to embrace unity to fully exploit the development potential in the country’s 47 counties.

Petty differences should not be allowed to derail the promise of rapid development envisaged in devolution. We shall miss out on that potential if we are not united and working in cohesion. Political leaders, the church, women and the youth need to work together to achieve the country’s development targets.

My doors will always be open. Whatever it is that you require, whatever assistance you think you can get from the National Government in order to help us achieve that goal of prosperity and security for all Kenyans, rest assured of my support.
