The Kenya University Project (KUP) California team led by Registered Nurses: Mary Kinyanjui and Bui Thuo held an event to open KCB Bank accounts. Also present was Dr. Joseph Gichuhi who is part of the Diaspora University founders. The goal of the event was to open KCB Bank accounts so persons joining can tap financial products as they become KUP Town House developers.

Mary and Bui who have a combined experience of over 50 years working in the healthcare sector have over the last two years led the creation of a Medical Hospital. “We are happy that we are advancing forward,” said Mary.

California Kenyans have and continue to embrace KUP. “We are happy to have the KCB Bank finance,” said Grace Njuguna who has taken the role of ensuring that persons in South California become property developers.

The KUP team are happy that KCB Bank is ready to work with them as they produce new products that the bank can finance. KCB Bank had loan advances of Kshs 96 billion in 2009. By the year 2016 the bank loan advances had grown to Kshs 353 billion. By 2021 the loan advances are expected to grow to Kshs 700 billion. KUP system looks to be part of growing the loan advances as jobs are created and housing developed.
