Doctors, RNs & Professionals Kick-off Diaspora University Town Medical Hospital Development Board

Diaspora Doctors of diverse fields, Registered Nurses with diverse expertise and professionals in diverse fields have kicked-off the Diaspora University Medical Hospital development board. The board primary goal is to provide those who become residents of the Town, University Students and Visitors of Diaspora University Town with the constitutional rights to healthcare 43. (1) Every person has the right— (a) to the highest attainable standard of health, which includes the right to health care services, including reproductive health care; (b) to education. (2) A person shall not be denied emergency medical treatment.

Developments by Board 

The board will provide the rights through the Medical Hospital Development Plan and the following developments: Budgets, Jobs, Medical Hospital Plans, Clinic Plans, University Healthcare Education, University Research, Clinical Medicine, Pharmacies, Laboratories, Medical Equipment, Medical Supplies, Doctors (Medical Officers and Specialists), Professional Nurses, Other Healthcare Professionals and support staff, Insurance System, Healthcare Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and other systems.

Hospital Building

The biggest development of the Medical Hospital Plan will be Diaspora University Medical Hospital. The hospital is currently planned to be a 100,000 square meter hospital buildings that will have all departments of medicine and diverse specialty clinics when fully developed.  

Hospital Excellence

The professionals look to tap into their experiences and further incorporate the best practices in Diaspora and achieve a hospital that can be called, “The best hospital South of Sahara.” Another goal is to develop the hospital to become a referral hospital in Kenya and in the region.

Diaspora Nurses and Hospital Founding 

The RNs, in the development board, also look to honor RNs who become Town House Property Developers with a founder recognition certificate of the hospital. The RNs in planning this want Nurses in Diaspora to give back to Kenya through the development of a hospital. They state that a hospital's success is made possible by the nursing care. The RNs, who have vast experience in the healthcare sector, state that the best hospitals anywhere in the world are in well-developed towns with good housing that the doctors, nurses and other professionals who become part of the hospital are willing to live in. 

Sep 2017 – Dec 2017 Development Plan 

The Diaspora University Town Medical Hospital Development board is currently working on the September 2017 to December 2017 development plan. The board will execute a total of 15 development plans of 4 months in 60 months that shall be aligned to the University development. At August 2022 the development board looks to have achieved: health sciences departments at university; hospital providing diverse medical services and treatments; a creation of 3,000 jobs in the Medical fields; diverse clinics offering Medical Services at the town and Kenya; Medicine production plant and other healthcare Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
