RN Bui Graduates With MSN & Advances Diaspora University Medical Hospital Plan

Registered Nurse (RN) Bui Thuo, who got her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from University of Southern California more than 20 years ago, 1996, would join the Kenya University Project (KUP) 2014. She would also start her Masters in Nursing with emphasis of leadership and healthcare system. She in the last 30 months has worked and achieved her Masters as well as advanced the Diaspora University – Medical Hospital Plan.

“I cannot change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sail to always reach the destination,” Bui now and then quotes the words of, Jimmy Dean, during the biweekly meetings of Diaspora University Medical Hospital Plan developers.

She also in the last 30 months has inspired herself and those who are today developing the Diaspora University Town with the Mahatma Gandi qoute, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” 

Bui who wants to see every child in Kenya get the constitutional right of housing and healthcare adjusted her time to meet her demands of work and family, her education and here entrepreneurial role in the Kenya University Project.   

Bui time in the last 30 months has achieved:  

  1. Master of Science in Nursing degree.
  2. Diaspora University - Medical Hospital Development Board member. The board is made of Diaspora doctors and professionals and has resulted from biweekly meetings that Bui has participated in on time and without missing.
  3. Diaspora University - Medical Hospital Plans writing. She has written different plans that shall be applied in the Diaspora University Medical hospital departments. The plans are today received and filed with the law firm of Attorney Njoroge Kamau. 
  4. Diaspora University – Town House Property Developer Plan. Bui has talked to hundreds of Kenyans privately and through going to 10 meetings and events in Maryland, Las Vegas (Rugby Sevens,) Sacramento, Phoenix and South California cities of Anaheim and Los Angeles. 

Bui who came to the U.S in the 1980’s during the same period as Uhuru Kenyatta says she is glad that the “Jobs for Kenya Youth, President Uhuru Kenyatta Boston Diaspora Message,” delivered 2014 progressed KUP so as to find her.

Bui is happy that in the last 30 months she has not only gone back to university; but, has also become an entrepreneur who is contributing to the development of Kenya and the world. She says, “I’m happy that I will be part of creating jobs for youth in Kenya. I’m happy I will advance the healthcare in Kenya as we achieve a University hospital just like the hospital in the U.S.”
