Diaspora to Travel by SGR Train to Open Diaspora University Town

Diaspora Kenyans will be opening the Diaspora University Town site, December. As they plan to travel to the site that is about 8 miles from the Voi Railway Station they are looking travel by SGR Train, Madaraka Express. The train in now operating two train schedules from Nairobi to Mombasa and from Mombasa to Nairobi. The Diaspora look to travel with the train that leaves Nairobi 8am to arrive at Voi 12.03pm and then catch the train from Mombasa that stops at Voi 16.41pm as it heads to Nairobi.

Led by Bishop Donald Mwawasi of Atlanta, GA; Diaspora Kenyans progressing the development of the Diaspora University Town will unveil a development sign and thereafter have a luncheon with the Community. 

The Diaspora Kenyans are putting in their capital: cash, time and expertise to progressively develop the infrastructure and buildings that will become the town. They will create thousands of jobs as they build a University, Town, Hospital and open hundreds of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The Diaspora Kenyans are happy that the Train offers an alternative transportation to Nairobi and Mombasa. They are pleased with the schedule and say it came at the right time.
