U.S Businessmen Explore Implementing Diaspora University Town Energy Plan

U.S Businessmen Curtis Jones and James Anderson of GGLE Company held discussions on the Diaspora University Town energy plan with the Diaspora University Team of Attorney Njoroge Kamau, Benjamin Mwandaa, Rose Ndiritu and Dan Kamau at Nairobi. The U.S businessmen are in Kenya exploring opportunities on energy generation and supply through renewable energy.

The discussions were on the Diaspora University Town energy plan that once implemented would have Solar technologies for energy generation implemented, incorporate a waste to energy plan, and wind turbines as sources of energy.

The U.S. businessmen are Kenya exploring the energy opportunity. They are also working hard to be part of the emerging Kenya economic boom. During the introductory discussions they said they would further look at the Diaspora University Town energy plan in greater detail with a goal of becoming partners.  

Energy has limited the growth of industries in the Kenya. The goal of the Diaspora University Town is to achieve an energy generation and supply that would support the town, education and the growth of industries in the town.

The team working on Diaspora University Town development are happy the Power Africa initiative started in 2013 by President Barrack Obama continues to expand the energy growth opportunity. Power Africa stated goal per USAID is to enable electricity access by adding 60 million new electricity connections and generation of 30,000 Megawatts of new and cleaner power generation.
