About 150 million hours of time resource will be used to development the 5 Year Diaspora University Town plan for production of: a University, Town, Town Houses, Roads, Industries, Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and other productions. 100 million hours, through 20,000 jobs created, will be put in the Diaspora University Town site. The other 50 million hours will be at different parts of Kenya where material production and supply to site will occur.

The Diaspora University Town Plan is exciting those who shall get jobs. It is also exciting those with industries who shall supply materials and equipment. More than 500 Kenyans with diverse backgrounds have already registered as they look to get jobs created. The list of SMEs looking to supply the project continues to grow.

Kenyans are excited of this opportunity. About 50 million blocks, 100,000 doors, 150,000 windows and other materials will be demanded and supplied to the project. Small-scale producers are embracing the project as they look to be the suppliers.

Kenya, every day, loses close to 20 million production hours. This is lost when persons remain unproductive due to lack of anything to do or when too many persons work in one sector as is the case in the food products sale.

A loss of 20 million hours a day, in a year of 250 days production days, is a loss of 50 billion hours per year. At a value of a dollar per hour this is a loss of $50 billion or Kshs 5 trillion. This is the biggest loss in Kenya every year. The loss is reflected in the unpaved roads, slums, lack of education, environmental pollution, life expectancy and other developmental needs.
