Close to 200 million pieces/packages of materials: stones, blocks, doors, windows, glass, sand, pipes, paint, cement and others will be applied to the production of 2 million square meters of building space and 120 km road network. The Material Supply Building is incorporated in the project to facilitate the progressive supply and management of the material at site. Rose Dama who recently visited the site has released the preliminary design of the building.

Rose who chose to become an Architecture following her fascination for beautiful spaces that led her to have a collection of magazines cut-outs of buildings/spaces in her notebook is today putting her fascination and six years of University Architectural studies to work. She says her aim is to contribute in making Kenya environment better through creative designs.

In designing the Material Supply Building design and land plot design, Rose incorporates what she thinks architects of her generations should. She says, “Architects need to design buildings that are more green and friendly to the environment. Buildings that are efficient in their use of resources, reduce waste, pollution and environmental degradation. This will not only lead to a clean and healthy environment but will also increase user productivity.”
