The Global Research and Innovation University Town plan for implementation in Machakos County has a great jobs plan. The plan will create thousands of new jobs in Machakos County. It is a great plan that should be welcome by all who would like to see their fellow Kenyans get jobs. There should be no delays or restrictions to Jobs creation plans.

Many a time, a person with a job will restrict jobs creation based on the fact that the person with the job will not be the beneficiary of the job created. For persons to get jobs, those with government jobs should facilitate jobs creation.

I’m happy that during a meeting held at Machakos County attended by County Minister for Education, Diaspora representatives and Machakos Residents who have formed a Committee spearheading the allocation of the land where the plan will be implemented was a great success. I was happy to be informed that all present supported the jobs creation plan that will create can create 50,000 jobs in the first phase of implementation in less than 10 years. It is exciting to hear that all are ready to roll up their sleeves so young men and women entering the jobs market can get jobs.

Machakos County is made up of an area of 5,952 sq km. This is about 1.5 million acres of land. The plan requires 10,000 acres to create 100,000 new jobs and a new settlement for the growing population. This is a good plan for land use that will develop a home for 200,000 persons going to the future as Kenya population doubles in the next 50 years. This will be similar to developing a settlement like Durham City in North Carolina that is home to 250,000 residents in a 70,000 acres land use plan. Hundreds of Kenyans who work and live here benefit from the land use plan.

The Global Research and Innovation University Town will advance land use for: healthcare, food, housing and SMEs development.

Reading some of the tweets by our Machakos County Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua, I'm encouraged that the Governor is ready to lead on Jobs creation. This inspires me to work harder so the Global Research and Innovation University Town Jobs plan can get started and young men and women can start working.

Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua Tweets on Jobs:

  1. Our people do not want stories or political rallies. They want jobs, affordable lifestyles and money in their pockets, because it is always about the economy.
  2. Many Kenyans have better and more ideas that we can share and agree as a nation and hence can contribute to the agenda by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Vision 2030.
  3. Instead of we leaders just jumping up and down all over the Country in political and social meetings, we should instead sit down and discuss the economy.

It is time to join President Uhuru Kenyatta in implementing the Big 4 Plan that will lead to thousands of jobs created. I'm happy the president during his visits to the U.S has every time called upon Diaspora to help him create jobs.
