Elly wears a sweater made of the Kenya flag

Elly Kiptoo Rono is not only keeping the Kenya image in the minds of potential visitors to Kenya with his running, he also wears the sweater made from the colors of the Kenya flag with pride. Attending the Kenya Diaspora Conference the runner who attends Howard University in Washington D.C said, “I was happy to attend the conference and get to know other Kenyans. The conference has also helped me make adjustments on my career.” Elly is currently studying Biology and looks forward to entering the field of medicine. “Without a health nation there is no productive nation,“ he noted.

From Kapsabet town in the Rift valley, the runner of many races in the Howard University and in Maryland Athletic Conferences, challenged Kenyan entrepreneurs to find ways to sell products like the sweater he was wearing as a way of promoting Kenya to the community abroad, “Just today as I travelled from the university to the conference, because I was wearing this sweater, someone asked me about Kenya and running.”

Elly noted he was happy to attend the conference and said, “The information received from the speakers is very beneficial to me.” The conference is organized by the Ambassador together with the Embassy staff who put in variable time that has made the conference possible.
